Dead Rising 2 – Debut Trailer

Posted by NRasool  Published in ps3, Videogame news, xbox360

Yesterday Capcom had confirmed Dead Rising 2 is coming out on the Xbox360, PS3 and PC. Here is some information from Eurogamer.net

Capcom has confirmed a sequel to zombie shooter Dead Rising is in development.

Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the first game. Turns out no one managed to contain that pesky old zombie virus, and it’s spread throughout the US.

The press release promises Dead Rising 2 will take the series to “a whole new level”, originally, with “tens of thousands” of zombies to batter. There’s an all-new “gambling paradise” called Fortune City to explore, plus new objects to use as deadly weapons.

The game is being developed in partnership with Canadian studio Blue Castle Games, who previously produced baseball title The Biggs. Some members of the original Dead Rising Team will help out, including Keiji Inafune – said to be playing ” an active role” the development process.

Dead Rising 2 is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with a release date yet to be announced.

Saw video game picked up by Konami

Posted by NRasool  Published in ps3, Videogame news, xbox360

Saw: The Videogame

“Saw,” one of the highest profile games left orphaned when Brash Entertainment went out of business, has been picked up by Konami.

Sources close to the project have confirmed that Konami has made a deal with Lionsgate, to whom the rights reverted when Brash breached its contract, and developer Zombie Studios. The game will come out this fall along with the sixth “Saw” film (I almost wrote “Saw VI,” but that series is getting so long in the tooth I’m wondering if they’ll take a cue from the seventh “Star Trek” movie and just drop the numbers).

Konami is an obvious choice to pick up “Saw,” since it has experience selling horror with a little franchise called “Silent Hill.” But the game almost took a very intriguing twist: no publisher at all.
