Wow it has been a long time since I have updated this, As you can now see the whole site has been designed with a minimal template design for WordPress. It looks nice, but the backend including hosting has changed as well. This is now running on a cloud server, being if one server fails, there is a backup from another server etc. I have also posted an new article about my time in Datix redesigning the forum, it’s a personal piece, please read it

New Hosting, New Look and feel

Wow, it been nearly a year since I last posted anything here. So much has happened, I have moved hosting to http://www.vidahost.com/, a few teething issue, but I got there at the end. Also a new look and feel, so I hope you like it. Anyway, lots to do, expect a new posting very soon (ie in a month times )

Testing out Leadwerks Engine on BlitzMax

I recently purchased the Leadwerks engine from the recent BlitzMax sale and now testing it out. For people who do not follow the Indie Game scene, the leadwerks engine is a OpenGL RAD tool which works on Visual C++ and BlitzMax plus other languages. Oh dear my IE users cannot view my site

I never realise, but my site was bringing up error when you view it in IE6 or 7. This should be fixed now, the problem was with the twitter javascript updates, so removed that for the time being.

Now IE7 users can view this site without any problem

Personal Site – Upgraded

Today I upgraded my personal site to the latest version which went smootlty.

Also upgraded the theme to the latest version which screwed up some design but also put in the twitter feed on the far right hand side which was very very easy , plus used Twitsuite so some people would retweet some of my posting

So a slight change to the site, but nothing that major. Its working well

Actinic Untitled Project

There hasn’t been an any update for a while and I will tell you the reason why. It looks like there is a market for people who wish to run multiple version of Actinic software on their local machine.

So powering my PC, I have been investigating a way of running different versions of Actinic on multiple machines, I had created a software before for Support, but now this version will be better and geared up for clients. It has been a long wait, but it is now coming soon and I hope to show a demo/video soon and hopefully some people can beta test it. If you want to be a beta tester, then check the latter forum thread, or just comment to this posting here

Dead Rising 2 – Debut Trailer

Yesterday Capcom had confirmed Dead Rising 2 is coming out on the Xbox360, PS3 and PC. Here is some information from Eurogamer.net

Capcom has confirmed a sequel to zombie shooter Dead Rising is in development.

Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the first game. Turns out no one managed to contain that pesky old zombie virus, and it’s spread throughout the US.

The press release promises Dead Rising 2 will take the series to “a whole new level”, originally, with “tens of thousands” of zombies to batter. There’s an all-new “gambling paradise” called Fortune City to explore, plus new objects to use as deadly weapons.

The game is being developed in partnership with Canadian studio Blue Castle Games, who previously produced baseball title The Biggs. Some members of the original Dead Rising Team will help out, including Keiji Inafune – said to be playing ” an active role” the development process.

Dead Rising 2 is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with a release date yet to be announced.
